From Korea University Anam Hospital, Dr. Kang performed a robotic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion on a bladder cancer patient, streaming the procedure live to Nagoya University. Beyond mere observation, Dr. Kang provided real-time guidance and detailed explanations, conducting a highly sophisticated remote surgical training session.
“This was a meaningful opportunity to share the expertise and precision required for robotic bladder cancer surgery across borders,” Dr. Kang said. Professor Zennami expressed gratitude, noting that the session “greatly enhanced my practical understanding of the technique.”

Currently, Dr. Kang serves as the director of planning at Korea University Anam Hospital and president of the Korean Endourological and Robotic Society. This landmark remote training session is expected to further position the hospital as a global hub for robotic surgery education.
