[Hinews] Seoul, South Korea — On September 12, Kim Nam-joon—better known as RM, leader of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS—celebrated his 31st birthday by donating 100 million won (about $83,000) to Seoul Asan Hospital, one of South Korea’s top medical institutions.

In a statement, RM expressed his desire to make his birthday meaningful through philanthropy. “I wanted to celebrate my birthday in a way that matters,” he said. “I hope this contribution can provide even a small measure of support for patients facing economic hardships who urgently need medical treatment.”
