[Hinews] SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Korea Kolmar, a leading cosmetics manufacturer, officially launched its second U.S. factory on July 16, significantly expanding its production capacity in the American market. The new facility, spanning 17,805 square meters, is designed to produce approximately 120 million cosmetic products annually. Combined with the existing first factory, which primarily focuses on color cosmetics, the second plant enables Korea Kolmar to manufacture a full range of products, including color cosmetics, skincare, and suncare, through an Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) model. This expansion establishes a robust production system capable of delivering up to 300 million units per year in the U.S.

The second factory is poised to address the surging demand for K-beauty products, particularly in basic skincare and sunscreens, which have seen rapid growth in the U.S. market. Notably, the facility has secured Over-the-Counter (OTC) certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for sunscreen production, positioning Korea Kolmar to capitalize on the expanding U.S. suncare market.
A Korea Kolmar spokesperson highlighted the strategic importance of the new plant, stating, “With the completion of our second U.S. factory, we have secured an annual production capacity of 300 million units locally. This allows not only K-beauty brands but also global cosmetics companies to mitigate the impact of recent U.S. export tariff concerns through localized production.”

In addition to its U.S. operations, Korea Kolmar’s Canadian subsidiary further strengthens its North American presence, with a combined annual production capacity of approximately 470 million units. This makes the company one of the largest ODM manufacturers in the region.
