Narantsatsral, a Mongolian woman in her 40s, suffered serious lower back and leg injuries in a traffic accident during high school and had relied on crutches for 14 years. In 2014, Dr. Joon-shik Shin, the founder of Jaseng Hospital, treated her in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Remarkably, she was able to walk without crutches after just 20 minutes of treatment.
When her pain recurred recently, Jaseng Hospital covered her medical expenses and provided around two weeks of integrative Korean medicine treatment, including acupuncture, pharmacopuncture (i.e., acupuncture combined with herbal medicine injection), Chuna manual therapy (i.e., a Korean manual therapy technique), and herbal medicine prescriptions. Dr. Sang-woon Lee, her attending physician, diagnosed a recurrence of lumbar disc herniation and cervical spine issues based on MRI findings. Her treatment focused on pain relief using Shinbaro pharmacopuncture, motion-style acupuncture, and Chuna therapy.

Dr. Jin-ho Lee, president of Jaseng Hospital, reaffirmed the institution's dedication to non-surgical care: “We will continue tol support patients through non-invasive treatments that restore hope and quality of life.”
Guided by Dr. Shin’s philosophy of “compassionate care,” Jaseng Hospital has consistently supported underserved communities.
